Mathletics
What is Mathletics?
Mathletics is one of the most popular global maths websites (http://www.mathletics.co.uk/), with over 40,000 students using the site each day from around the world. There are over one thousand learning activities covering primary and secondary mathematics. Our goal is to produce a learning resource that facilitates teacher in providing quality personalised, formative and motivational maths for all learners, through these key factors:
Differentiation - One of the core objectives of Mathletics is to provide content of an appropriate level of difficulty for all abilities. Teachers can modify and personalise a curriculum plan meet individual student’s needs.
Assessment for Learning - Teachers receive all data in real time on individual students and their whole class performances. This means that they target their teaching on both a class and individual basis to where it is most needed within their customised curriculum plan.
Tangible Improvement and Motivation - Students thrive in an environment where they quickly see that they are making progress; this in turn motivates them to continue and to achieve further success. Mathletics focuses on what intrinsically motivates students, such as recognition for achieving Personal Bests, Reward Certificates, the opportunity to challenge students around the world and much more.
