On behalf of the pupils, staff, parents and governors I would like to welcome you to the Bamford Academy website.

Our motto is "Inspiring to Achieve"

Bamford is a thriving, happy school where everyone is valued and respected. We are well thought of within the community, locally, nationally and also internationally - being the only academy School in Rochdale (at the moment) with the full International Schools Award in recognition for the outstanding international dimension work within the curriculum.

Our academic standards are very high with results consistently above the national average in both Key Stages over the last 10 years. However results alone do not give a full picture. Bamford academy was judged Outstanding for its curriculum provision with engaging specialist teachers for Spanish, music and musical theatre. We have a fantastic reputation within the area for the Performing Arts in which many Bamford children thrive.

Bamford is a leading school and we are always at the forefront of improving our facilties and provision further. We have extensive ICT (Information Communication Technology) provision and all the children (and staff) benefit from specialist teaching at various stages during their time with us. Last year a team of 16 Key Stage 2 pupils made their own film about "A Day in the Life of Bamford Academy" with the help of specialists at the local CLC (City Learning Centre) this DVD is available from school by request.

We are pleased to offer a wide range of Before and After School activities to challenge children and keep them engaged and there are regular opportunties for parents to become involved in school life.

Our aim is to provide the children in our care with the best possible start in life and our committed and professional team works very hard to that end.

Visits to the school are welcomed, but by appointment please. Appointments can be arranged by contacting the school office. Come along and have a look - you won't be disappointed.
